Information regarding the recall of Peanut Butter HOT CHOCOLATE.

Corim’s recall involves the following Smart Sips products: Peanut Butter HOT CHOCOLATE, with best by dates between January 11, 2023 and January 11, 2025.
Although not specially referenced in Corim’s voluntary recall, Smarts Sips has determined that the following variety packs may contain the Chocolate Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate (2 to 6 of the 24 pods) impacted by Corim’s voluntary recall. As such, Smart Sips is expanding the voluntary recall to include the following Smart Sips product: the Hot Chocolate Variety Pack – Single Serve Pods and Not Your Ordinary Hot Chocolate Sampler with best by dates between January 11, 2023 and January 11, 2025.
The specifics of the voluntary recall may be found at:
Corim has not received any health-related complaints related to this product. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a replacement flavoring ingredient from a different supplier may have trace levels of peanut that was not declared on bulk label or finished product label to downstream partners. Corim’s testing indicated that the levels are below the limit of detection. There is a possibility for an allergic reaction in individuals who have a sensitivity to peanut.
This is a preventive and voluntary action taken by Corim, and with the knowledge and supervision of the FDA. As per an investigation, the root cause for the issue was a temporary breakdown in the company's supplier documentation process. Corim has now corrected the process, and has instituted additional safety checks and corrective actions, including discontinuing the use of this particular flavoring ingredient.
Smart Sips has undertaken efforts to identify, locate and remove all products subject to the recall to prevent any further distribution of the products subject to Corim’s voluntary recall. In addition, Smart Sips has instituted measures to contact customers who purchased Smart Sips products subject to the voluntary recall by Corim, and resolve any issues.
Consumers with a peanut allergy who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume the product and dispose of it. If the Best By date is between January 11, 2023 and January 11, 2025, we request that you dispose of the product, contact us and/or reply to this email and we will provide you with a refund.
